EFL Bridges World Conversation Club #16 part two

In the second part of Wednesday 2nd August's World Conversation Club, I spoke to Maikle (originally from Palestine, but now living in Germany), Bupinder from India (but currently based in Bahrain), Pablo from Brazil, Majdouline from Morocco and Yosishemesh from Israel, as well as others who were only listening to the conversation.

Shortly after the subject of the current situation in Lebanon was mentioned, Yossishemesh and Majdouline started to be engaged in a heated discussion.

What is clear from the recording is that there is a lot of sadness at the needless waste of life in a conflict such as this, and much anger, incomprehension and frustration at the futility of fighting and war. That, and a need to talk and to listen, to understand different points of view and to explain. One can only hope that more conversations of this type can take place, and little-by-little we can move towards understanding, settlement and peace in the Middle East. Let's hope for everyone's sake that peace arrives sooner rather than later.
